The Ulster American Folk Park is an open-air museum just outside Omagh. With more than 30 buildings to explore, the museum tells the story of three centuries of Irish emigration. Using costumed guides and displays of traditional crafts, the museum focuses on those who left Ulster for America in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The museum is part of National Museums Northern Ireland.
The Sperrin Mountains, stretching along the border of counties Tyrone and Derry, can best be described as wild, untouched and beautiful. Spanning 40 miles, the Sperrins range is the largest in Ireland. with pretty fields and hedgerows, soft valleys and heather-clad hills and sweeping views .The perfect place for walking or scenic driving.
Beaghmore stone circles and surrounding bog indicate that the area was occupied since Neolithic times. The stone circles and cairn are attributed to the earlier part of the Bronze Age c. 2,000–1,200 BC. It is a spectacular view point where silence can be experienced.
